It really is quite amazing how popular WooCommerce eCommerce for WordPress is. There are several really good eCommerce services (such as Shopify) but WooCommerce offers a great alternative if you love WordPress and want to host your own online store.
I’ve worked on WooCommerce websites since it was first introduced and it has become a very good platform for selling online. Of course, now that WooCommerce is part of the Automattic family (developers of WordPress) the improvements are likely to continue.
I was asked earlier today how to mark a product as unavailable whilst still showing the product on the website. In other words, how do we still show the product on the website but prevent people from ordering the product. Fortunately this is very simple; just follow these instructions:
how about if you want to make specific products unavailable when purchaseing one of them. Example: Product A and B. customer puts product A in cart. customer now cannot place product B in cart. or customer puts product B in cart. customer now cannoto place product A in cart.
This post fails to mention that the “Out of stock” label won’t appear unless there is a price set on the product. Some of my clients have gotten unstuck cos they cleared the price field out thinking it wasn’t relevant to an Out Of Stock product.
