Does Mailchimp frequently ask you to enter a code to be able to access your account? Whilst this may be annoying it is definitely best practice and protects your user account from being used by people that may have attained your login details through illegal means.
Multi-factor authentication (in this instance also termed two factor authentication and 2FA) is very common when using online services and provides an additional barrier to malicious parties gaining access to your accounts. Mailchimp typically allows you to receive your 2FA code via an app (I’ve used Authy for years and have found it excellent), email or text (SMS) message.
While some organizations require you to use MFA, many offer it as an extra option that you can enable—but you must take the initiative to turn it on

I share my Mailchimp login. How do I get around having to enter a code?
Many people have asked me in my Mailchimp classes how they can stop having to enter the verification code Mailchimp sends to access their account as they share their login details with multiple people. I’ve also been asked if it’s possible to have the SMS sent to multiple phones or whether it’s possible to easily change the email address that the verification code is sent to.
The simple answer is that there isn’t a way around this. For security reasons it is bad practice to share login details; it is much safer for each person that accesses any account to have their own login details. Please read below why sharing your login details also violates Mailchimp legal terms.
You agreed not to share your Mailchimp password
In The Mailchimp Acceptable use Policy is states under the Prohibited Actions section that individual members may not share their Mailchimp password.
In addition Mailchimp allows for individual member logins (called “Seats”) with the number of Seats available based on the plan you have signed up for in Mailchimp. For example the free Mailchimp plan comes with one Seat. If you need more people to login it is necessary to choose a Mailchimp plan with enough seats to allow individual login accounts for all people that need to access your Mailchimp account.
In summary, it in your interest not to share your Mailchimp login details. Mailchimp even provide a 10% discount for three months if you use an app to get your 2FA code.
