If you see the following error in the source of a WordPress page “Super cache dynamic page detected but late init not set. See the readme.txt for further details” then fear not. This error is due to a setting being required in the WordPress WP Super Cache Plugin.
Of course, as the warning describes, the answer lies in the readme.txt file of the plugin which states “To execute WordPress functions you must enable the ‘Late init’ feature on the advanced settings page”. Here are quick instructions to solve the issue:
- From your WordPress dashboard go to Settings -> WP Super Cache.
- Click Advanced.
- Enable/check Late init. Display cached files after WordPress has loaded. Most useful in legacy mode.
- Save the setting change by clicking Update Status.
Thank you. I was having this problem and following your advice I was able to fix it!
