Often, in WordPress, the changes you make in the Post and Page editor (also called TinyMCE editor or Visual Editor) aren’t what you see when the Post or Page is published on your Website. Fortunately it’s simple, with just a little bit of code, to see the colours and other style that you use with your active Theme on your Site, in your Post editor.
How to show Theme Style in WordPress Post/Page Editor
Just follow these simple instructions:
- Open functions.php in a text editor (such as the awesome Notepad++)
- Add the following PHP near the top of functions.php and save
This script adds the style.css of the active Theme to the WordPress TinyMCE Post and Page editor.
The code above is slightly more tolerant than the usual
as advised by WordPress e.g. if you get errors like Call to undefined function is_rtl() when implementing the the WordPress version then try my code above as this should fix the problem.
