Why connect Mailchimp and Shopify
There are many reasons for integrating Shopify and Mailchimp. When correctly integrated then your customers and their sales data are transferred to your Mailchimp list. Once in Mailchimp then the data can be used for marketing purposes. Here are some ways that my clients use Mailchimp to get more sales for their Shopify stores:
- There is a product recommendation content block available in Mailchimp once Shopify is connected. My clients are able to quickly create a campaign that converts to sales.
- A wine company recommends a new vintage (year) when released to buyers of past vintages. The wine company knows that those customers are likely to buy as they’ve chosen that wine variety in the past.
- A clothing company sends a re-engagement campaign to all clients that haven’t purchased for six months.
- A turf supplier sends a lawn fertilizer purchasing recommendation each spring to past customers.
The above are only a few ways that my clients use their Shopify to Mailchimp integration to increase sales.
