It does seem that Mailchimp (and AWeber, GetResponse, Contact Contact and others) have recently become even more sensitive to allowing undeliverable or low quality email addresses to appear in lists. This is perfectly understandable as the email newsletter services have to be extremely careful that their clients aren’t marked as spammers.
For many email lists (that haven’t been purchased), the primary reason that email addresses are being marked as suspect by Mailchimp are lots of role-based email addresses, many free email addresses and a list that hasn’t been sent to in more than a few months (another good reason to send campaigns on a regular basis 🙂 ).
If you need help in identifying email addresses being noted as low quality by Mailchimp then we’ll help with list validation and verification.
