Mailchimp landing pages are now available. The familiar and easy to use Mailchimp campaign builder makes creating landing pages quick and simple.
It’s early days for creating landing pages with Mailchimp; there are two templates available with one being for creating product landing pages and one template for creating signup landing pages (i.e. so visitors may sign up to your Mailchimp list). From the testing I’ve done I’ve been very impressed at how quick and intuitive building a page is. For now the ability for people to use their own domain name with the landing page isn’t available however this can’t be far away.
How does Mailchimp Landing Pages compare with Unbounce and Wix?
People expect landing pages to be quick to create and publish. Unfortunately this is where the likes of WordPress.org don’t do well because of the necessity to setup a database and software before a single page can be created. There are various dedicated landing page builders available (such as Unbounce and Leadpages) which are often costly. Website builders like Wix and Weebly can also be used to easily create a landing page but people tend to think of them as website builders (as opposed to landing page builders). I think that the low cost (no additional cost) and ease of creating a landing page that Mailchimp have developed will appeal to many people.
Learn to create your own landing pages
When trying out new features in Mailchimp I always consider how user friendly the feature is (as I teach people how to use Mailchimp). Mailchimp have done very well with this new feature.
