We can tell where contacts click on an email campaign by looking at a heatmap of the campaign .
A primary reason to have one or more links or buttons (call-to-action) in an email campaign is so that we may see what our recipients are reading. We infer that when a contact clicks a link, they are interested in reading more about that specific topic (or product).
Mailchimp makes it simple to see where people are clicking in our campaigns. Using this information we can improve what content we include in our campaigns in addition to where to place the various information.
To do:
- Go to Reports in Mailchimp.
- Go into a campaign report.
- Click Links then Click Map.
Note: If you don’t have buttons or hyperlinks (or any clicks) then you won’t see data on the Click Map.
