There are plenty of ways to find subscribers for your Mailchimp email marketing lists. Many people don’t realise that software and service that they already use can be integrated with Mailchimp and therefore marketing made far more effective. Here are six ways to increase subscribers.
Giveaway prizes to subscribers
Got stickers or t-shirts to give away? Hold a Rafflecopter giveaway. Integrate Rafflecopter with Mailchimp and hold a contest for subscribers. Rafflecopter will manage the giveaway and your new subscribers will be automatically added to your Mailchimp list.
Ecommerce customers to Mailchimp
If you use Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce or another ECommerce platform then it’s a great idea to sync your customers with Mailchimp. Even better is that most popular Ecommerce services and software can make use of Ecommerce360 which makes segmenting and targeting customers based on buying patterns really simple. For example, why not send a voucher to customers that haven’t purchased for the past three months or if a brand introduces a new product it’s a great idea to promote to those that have purchased that brand in the past.
Your School & Church has a mailing list
Keep your volunteers, parents, congregation or other interested parties engaged with regular email newsletters. Your organization will have a database of people in software or even a spreadsheet. These lists may be imported into Mailchimp and then these people engaged via regular campaigns. The time needed to send a campaign is small and the cost miniscule compared to printing and posting.
Your Accounting software customers
Most modern accounting services such as Freshbooks and Xero may be integrated with Mailchimp. Your customer list is automatically synced with your Mailchimp list enabling email marketing to your existing customers. What’s more, even if a person unsubscribes in Mailchimp your Freshbooks or Xero customer record will be updated to show the unsubscribe.
A Mailchimp form on your WordPress Website
Customers find you via your website. Why not engage your website visitors by having a subscribe form on your website that automatically adds subscribers to Mailchimp. Even better, you can then setup autoresponders to engage subscribers further by sending time or action based emails to subscribers (e.g. an email can be set to send to subscribers five days after their subscribing or to Australian subscribers only on Australia Day).
Get subscribers anywhere
Do you attend events, have a front-desk or ever see people face to face? Mailchimp has an awesome app for Android, iPhone and iPad called Chimpadeedoo. The app is a brandable and great looking signup form that doesn’t require an always-on internet connection. Simply leave your tablet active near your shop checkout or hotel front desk. People may subscribe using the great looking form on the tablet and, when next connected to the internet, new subscribers will be added to your Mailchimp list.
Please don’t ever buy lists of email addresses. Your email address will soon be flagged as being a spam sending email address.
