Get your Facebook leads in Mailchimp

Facebook Lead Ads work well in getting potential sales leads. But what if we could automatically get our leads into a list in Mailchimp. We could then set Mailchimp Automation to send a series of EDM to our new leads, all without doing a thing. Conversion rates are 53% higher when using Automation and sending welcome emails or offers to leads can be a great way to convert leads to prospects (part of the sales funnel).

Fortunately there is a really simple and quick way to automatically populate our Mailchimp list with leads attained through our Facebook Lead Ads. Just follow the steps below.

Start your Facebook Lead Ads

The first step is to setup and start advertising your Facebook Lead Ads. The adverts are simple enough to setup. The Facebook wizard will walk you through various steps such as choosing text and images for your ads in addition to the content you want to collect from leads.

Be aware when designing your form that you are likely to get more people filling your form if you have fewer fields.

Setup your Mailchimp List and Automation

The next step is to login to your Mailchimp account and ensure that you have a List to which the Facebook attained leads may be added.

After setting up a list (if you needed to) then create an Automation workflow with a series of emails that will convert your leads into prospects (or customers). Of course your Automation workflow should be based on the list which will be populated with your Facebook leads.

Configure Zapier to transfer from Facebook to Mailchimp

The service that transfers our leads from Facebook to Mailchimp is Zapier. All you need do is login to Zapier and add a Facebook Lead Ads Zap then follow the various prompts. Your new leads submitted through your Facebook Lead Ads form will now automatically appear in your Mailchimp list which will trigger your Automation emails.

Something that I got a little frustrated by when configuring Zapier was that it asked to submit and entry in the Facebook Lead Ad form in order to test the process. I just couldn’t figure out where to see my Lead Ad in Facebook. Eventually I saw that Facebook had sent me a link to see my Lead Ad in the email that they sent me when I first setup the Lead Ad.

An that is how simple it is to send automated emails to your leads attained in Facebook.
