When a contact is Mailchimp receives a campaign from you and marks the message as spam you can’t send to that contact again.
In a Mailchimp report you can see who moved your email campaign to their spam (also called junk) folder. Mailchimp automatically changes the status of anyone that marks your campaigns in spam as unsubscribed. This means that you cannot again send to that contact from the same list.
To do:
- Make sure that you have legitimate consent to send to all contacts.
- Be clear about who you are and don’t use ‘spammy’ words in your subject line.
Note: Your contacts marking your messages as spam has a negative effect on your domain reputation. This may result in your domain being blacklisted.
