Most of us have a search engine which we use most often. We use the particular search engine because we believe that it returns the best search results for our purposes. But just how brand loyal are we? Do we really use our favorite search engine because of the results it returns in the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) or because we are brand loyal?
To answer this question a Microsoft employee has placed a ‘blind’ search engine test on his website (the test is called ‘Blind Search’). The visitor enters a search term and then is presented with search results in three columns. The visitor is asked to select the column with the best results and then the search engines which produced each of the results columns is shown. I’m a Google fan however I seem to prefer the results returned by Bing….
