On moving from Google Inbox to Gmail I have been very frustrated with the need, in Gmail, to set a signature multiple times. For example I need to set a signature on my PC and on my Android devices. I change my signature often so this duplication of tasks is annoying.
Set a Global Gmail Signature
If you use Gmail as part of your G Suite service you’re in luck as it’s simple to set a signature once that will display for any email messages you send (across all devices). Here are the instructions:
- Turn off or delete signatures in Gmail on your mobile devices and desktop.
- Sign in to G Suite.
- Click Apps, then G Suite then Gmail.
- Click Advanced Settings.
- Under Appliance click Append Footer.
- Click CONFIGURE.
- Add your signature and save.
Note: For the instructions above it is assumed that you are a sole-operator (i.e. it is only you using Gmail as part of your G Suite account).
