I frequently get asked for assistance with integrating Magento and MailChimp so that Magento eCommerce store owners can increase sales through email marketing. Although the Shopify and WordPress WooCommerce integrations with MailChimp are simpler to setup, the Magento integration isn’t that complicated at all.
Below is what I sent recently to a customer that asked how the integration and setup between Magento and MailChimp works. The integration itself (i.e. connecting Magento and MailChimp so that all customer, product and sales information is available to use in MailChimp for marketing purposes) is a once-off. Once the data are in MailChimp then the magic can really happen; to automate your marketing so that abandoned cart messages are sent, relevant product recommendation messages are received by past customers and even repeat purchase reminders are sent for consumables are quick to setup and can result in vastly increased sales for a low cost.
Contact me if you need assistance with getting more sales from Magento, Shopify or WooCommerce. Here is the email regarding the Magento to MailChimp integration that I described earlier.
Thanks for contacting me.
The best (and official) Magento/MailChimp integration may be found at https://magento.mailchimpapp.com
The high-level steps are:
- Integrate your Magento store with MailChimp (using https://magento.mailchimpapp.com): For Magento this is a bit technical but not too bad. All that is really required is installing the extension (which is free) in your Magento and doing some simple configuration.
- Setup MailChimp automations and whatever else you want to do with the data that are passed from Magento to MailChimp.
My ecommerce clients (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce) have really seen incredible results as it’s so simple to use all that purchase and customer data to encourage further sales.
